Queen Victoria and QE2

The big ships are coming back… This weekend:

 Saturday, 23 February (Sydney)
5.30am: Queen Victoria will make her way into Sydney Harbour. She will dock at the Overseas Passenger Terminal in Circular Quay at 7am and remain there overnight.

Sunday, 24 February (Sydney)
5.30am: Queen Elizabeth 2 will arrive in Sydney Harbour , 30 years to the day since her maiden visit to Sydney . She will then dock at Garden
Island at 7am.
6pm: Queen Elizabeth 2 and Queen Victoria will leave their berths flanked by hundreds of smaller ships and boats headed for an historic Royal Rendezvous.Approximately 6:30pm: Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth 2 will pass on either side of Fort Denison . They will greet each other with a ‘Whistle Salute’ using their signaling horns that can be heard over 16 kilometres away. Monday, 25 February (Sydney)
6:30pm: Queen Elizabeth 2 departs Sydney from the Overseas Passenger Terminal. She is expected to pass through the heads at approximately 7.30pm.
