I want to make a film

I really want to make a film. I’ve watched so many films and live in a constant state of unreality that making a film should be easy. All I need is about a million dollars. Alternatively, I could just film the idea on a cheap movie camera and then try and get funding for the idea. I wonder if that’s easier than sending off a script? A picture, after all, paints a thousand words…
